Day 4 In the Philippines

Day Four and things are still great. I’m not getting as much rest as I’d like to have, but I’m having a great time. Today we didn’t do as much sightseeing, but my wife did do one of her most favorite things, SHOP! Here are some of the pictures commemorating this event:

Vangie’s sister Ging-Ging got in on the action too — and bought a doll as big as her!

Here is the mall at which we shopping originally! We went to four malls in the same day! Mostly window-shopping, but none-the-less, it was pure torture for me! I just went and found an internet cafe and began surfing the web! :) Much better!

And of course after every big shopping trip? EAT!! KAIN NA!

And from this picture, you can really see we are not without the comforts of home!! Hard Rock Cafe! California Pizza Kitchen! Ristorante Italiano! TGI Fridays! Woohoo! American Food!

On the way home, as it was everywhere we went, we faced a lot of traffic. Vangie and I got tired of sitting in the van and decided to walk home!!! It was much easier!!! AND 45 MINUTES FASTER!!! After we arrived at the hotel in Manila, the rest of the family showed up almost 45 minutes later!! Isn’t that crazy?

And of course, as we were walking home, it’s really hard to miss more of the comforts of home!!

To cap off the night, Vangie’s sister-in-law was celebrating her birthday!! Woohoo!

All in all, it was a fun day — tomorrow, we are going to a city called Cavite where Vangie’s dad will meet his relatives from Manila for the first time!! He’s talked to them by phone on occasion, but has never met them face to face! I’m looking forward to that!
